Chiropractic Adjustment

A chiropractic adjustment is one of the most common and effective treatments for lower back, neck and other joint pain. During a chiropractic adjustment, the chiropractor will use various techniques to adjust vertebrae that have become misaligned.

Vertebral misalignments can be very painful. Nerves become pinched and blood flow may become restricted. Over time, the nerves and muscles atrophy. Regular chiropractic adjustment improves biomechanics and spinal nerve function.

Symptoms may be referred from elsewhere in the spine

Your spinal column and spinal cord are both the nerve center and foundation of muscular strength for the whole body. A misaligned neck will radiate symptoms and poor biomechanics down the spine and extremities. Misalignments also cause symptoms which start in the feet and arches.
Here are some symptoms of spinal misalignments:

  • Pinched Nerve
  • Headaches
  • Foot Pain
  • Scoliosis
  • Arthritis
  • Knee pain
  • Ribcage pain
  • Temporomandibular Joint Disorders (jaw and facial pain)
  • Poor posture
  • Disc pain
  • Wrist pain

The chiropractic adjustment usually results in immediate pain relief with improved mobility. Since muscles move bones, many times long standing spinal misalignments accompany chronic muscle spasms. The chiropractor checks the spine and soft tissues and will decide as to the proper physiotherapuetic modalities that are appropriate.

PT may consist of hands on soft tissue work, ultrasound, muscle stim, myofasial release, moist heat, infrared heat, traction and stretching.

We are interested in educating the public about alternative holistic health approaches, diet, nutrition, exercise and  lifestyle. We promote  specific nutrition and exercise for  healthier bones, muscles, connective tissue and to improve circulation.

Chiropractic Traction

Long axis disc traction and drop tables are used for gentle manipulations. Traction takes pressure off the spinal joints by gentle stretching. This makes massage and realignment easier and more comfortable. This is also called spinal decompression.

Fixing Your Ergonomics

Back problems are very common for people who sit for many hours at a computer. Constantly lower back pain, neck pain, headaches, or eyestrain may suggest ergonomic changes are needed at your workstations.  Sport injuries can cause back problems that are  helped with regular chiropractic care and ergonomic advice.

Say Goodbye to Pain Pills

Chiropractic care can end the cycle of pain pills and prevent re-injury. Pharmaceuticals for back pain simply masks the underlying causes. Medications mask pain and can increase risk of additional injury. Regular chiropractic adjustments can resolve long standing back problems and prevent future episodes.
